Join a Book Club

Book ClubA book club is the perfect outlet for  open minded people who enjoy a variety of reading experiences and who like to share their thoughts and chat about what they have read.

The library offers a book club for adult readers that meets monthly at Hawkins Memorial Library from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. This group reads a wide variety of books, fiction and nonfiction, and enjoys a lively discussion about the characters and content.

To participate in this group, please sign up at the library, get a copy of the current book selection, read the book before the meeting date, and then attend the discussion to compare your impressions and thoughts with those of the other participants.

This is a great way to learn about different topics and read books and that you might not have chosen on your own.  And a wonderful way to meet and get to know new people who share your interest in reading.

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
