Programs and services especially for children.
At Hawkins Memorial Library we believe in the importance of developing the skill of reading and providing educational opportunities for children. Children are always learning and investigating, and by starting young children will become wonderful library users and readers. We offer numerous programs for the children in our community that includes:
Preschool Story Time is on Thursday Mornings from 10:30-11:30 A.M. during the school year. Children enjoy reading books, singing songs, playing games and creating crafts that follow a weekly theme. Programs will not be held on no-school days, late school start days, or in the summer.
LEGORAMA!, our LEGO building program, is offered the first Tuesday each month September through May and twice monthly in June, July and August.
