Take a journey though the tall tales and folk tales of this big country and hear stories of Iowans whose hard work and bravery helped to build a better world.

Tie Dye with the FFA Historical & Ag Museum (Summer Learning Program) Dates/Times Offered: Tuesday, August 1, 6:00 PM Instructor: FFA Historical & Ag Museum Staff Location: Hawkins Memorial Library & FFA Historical & Ag Museum, La Porte City Cost: Free (bring a prewashed white 100% cotton t-shirt) Designed for: Preschool through 5th grade Kids will first learn the history of tie dying, and then they’ll get hands-on knowledge of this art by dying a t-shirt. Particpants need to bring a 100% cotton prewashed white t-shirt to tie dye and take home.
